Our Team
Soundscape Studios has a great work environment, the right tools, and a solid team of veteran producers, composers and engineers who help you get the job done right. The team is led by founder Michael Moss, whose diverse resume includes a Master of Music degree from the New England Conservatory, a long history as a saxophonist touring with the Cab Calloway Orchestra and extensive performances in the studio and on stage with artists such as Aretha Franklin, Gil Evans, The Four Tops, Frankie Valli and Bo Diddley. As a producer Michael has worked with such notable musicians as bassist Gary Peacock and celebrated saxophonist George Garzone. His distinguished career as a composer includes clients such as National Public Radio, Simon and Schuster, Gillette and many others. Michael has received three Grammy nominations for his work on audiobooks. He is an assistant professor at the Berklee College of Music, and has authored two courses in MIDI production for Berklee's online continuing education program. Soundscape's Chief Engineer is Tim Keleher, an industry professional who has worked with acclaimed guitarist J. Geils and blues harmonica legend Carey Bell. Following graduation from Berklee College of Music, Tim spent time in Nashville recording popular country artists including Lawrence Welk guitarist Jim Turner and guitarist Lee Bogan. In the spoken word field he has recorded such notables as Sue Miller, Rabbi Harold Kushner, Ben Zander, Rick Pitino and Mike Barnicle. Engineer Jeff Svatek, another Berklee grad, is a trombone player, keyboardist and vocalist who has recorded artists such as Kudisan Kai, background singer on Elton John's 2002 Grammy- nominated "Songs from the West Coast" and on Disney's "The Road to El Dorado", and the hot new group tHrOnE. He has also worked as recording engineer for jazz artists Kevin Mahogany (vocalist) and Andy LaVerne (keyboardist), and currently performs in the rock band Zoux. Engineer David Doherty specializes in audio for visual media. Since graduating from Berklee College of Music he has worked on many short and independent films as a sound designer and/or composer. Recently he engineered for the Milton Players’ stage performance of “The Last Night of Ballyhoo”. Some of David’s current projects include a developing cartoon “The Misadventures of Ernie & AL” and an album of his own pieces. Susan Dudnick Boer, principal producer at Soundscape, is the founder of sister company Charlesberry Productions, a full service purveyor of audio programs. Formerly a media specialist at Houghton Mifflin Company, she specializes in producing and managing large audio programs for school and college markets. Her knowledge of foreign languages allows her to produce programs in French, Spanish, German and Italian. She proved to be the vital link to the studio's Grammy-nominated productions such as The Polar Express, Jumanji and The Christmas Miracle of Jonathan Toomey. She received her BA in Studies in Religion from the University of Michigan and an MAT in Museum Education from George Washington University. Before joining Houghton Mifflin, she was an education specialist at the Smithsonian Institution. Susan DeMarco is Director of Business Development for both Soundscape as well as our partner company CreateSound. She worked in Talent Relations for the CMGI entertainment portal iCAST and its predecessor companies, interviewing many notable personages and developing relationships with entertainment industry partners. She spent many years in production with WGBH-TV, Public Television in Boston. Susan has an extensive knowledge of the business world, and is responsible for finding new clients and for maintaining client/studio relationships. Claudia Ravaschiere is the studio manager who oversees the daily traffic and details of the office. She is an accomplished fine artist, with an MFA from the Maryland Institute of Art, and President of the Fort Point Arts Community (FPAC). |
